Actually, that's not always true. There are plenty of stories of women who were raped, victims of incest, etc. With the new abortion laws in America, even exceptions for rape and incest are being discounted so a drug addict who was raped can't get an abortion without leaving the state--and where does she get the resources to do that?
Also, I never heard a woman say "I don't want you to wear a condom." But men often refuse because they don't like them--and while women should reject their advances when that happens, some are not able to stand up to their men.
Granted, these are exceptions, but they are important, I think, to acknowledge.
People who can't take care of themselves have kids because they are damaged and have no sense of responsibility. Ending abuse and caring for those already abused is the only solution, IMO. If people don't heal themselves, they will perpetuate misery.
