Ah, but who is leading this effort? This is where the proverbial rubber meets the road. I'm a former Operations Analysis for a tech company. I noticed a common pattern among the leadership team: Everyone knows what needs to be done--somehow, nobody knows who will do it or how it will get done.

Fortunately, brighter minds than ours have come up with a possible solution: the UN is sending 15 reps to the site--no U.S. or British members (to avoid setting off Putin.)

With kid gloves, they will presumably attempt to do precisely what you propose: exact a pledge (even if done with bribes) to ensure that despite whatever war games must be played, they will not be played at the site of a nuclear power plant.

I wonder if they can scare Putin enough to have an impact? Like Trump, he seems to think his position, power, and money will save him from everything--even nuclear radiation.

I guess we will know soon enough.

I enjoy your articles. Thanks for the conversation. :-)
