Bill Maher Is Proof That Social Media Can Ruin Anybody

His journey from critical thinker to Republican shill

I used to love Bill Maher. I even watched a few bad movies he was in. I thought he was smart, not just funny. But a couple of years ago, I heard him parroting Republican talking points. It wasn’t a shift in opinion; it was a complete buy-in of nonsense being spread about liberals designed by Republicans to make us out to be idiots who know nothing about science and are trying to use the government to promote crazy policies.

Maher recently interviewed Jane Fonda. When she was savvy enough to ask him to tell her what policies liberals advocated that showed just how stupid we all are, he came up with this: Liberals think men can have babies.

First, liberals promote democracy, which requires the ability to solve problems. We are the ones who value science and education. I have NEVER heard any…
