DEI programs are only as good as the people who promote them.

Examples of specific individuals who allow their own hate and anger to override the intent of programs designed to promote including and respecting those who are "other" will always exist. But I believe it is dangerous to use those examples to discredit DEI programs. Rather, those are the very people the programs must work harder to reach. And if they are not open to it, that can't be helped. But allowing those people to discredit the programs is misguided, IMO.
