Exactly! Putin and Trump both lie to cover their own inadequacies. And when you've forced others to lie to you to avoid your wrath because you can't handle the truth you end up with stuff you didn't expect.

I imagine Putin thought he had nuclear capabilities--but when all the people from the engineers on up each take a piece of the pie without performing, and then tell you lies to keep you happy, you end up with crap you can't use.

How interesting that all along Putin has just been bluffing--whether he knew it or not.
