Good questions! While it's true that names aren't attached to polls, I think the fear Trump has spread is insidious and I think people are still afraid to come right out and say they will not support him.

I also think the polls are skewed by poorly written questions designed to obtain the answers they want. And the polls don't poll everyone--so it's always been a question as to whether they represent the voting public accurately.

I heard one poll asked if people believed the country was headed in the right direction and if people said "no" the pollster put them down as being against Biden. Hell, I think we're headed in the wrong direction too, but only because Republicans control the House!

Also, Trump's rallies are getting low attendance now. It's rather pathetic, actually.

So while I agree with your points I do still see the overall effect of all these lawsuits and Trump's poor rally showings as indicative of a move away from him. It's just growing slowly, under the radar. But by the time the primary vote happens, I think he'll be toast.
