Great article--you encapsulate the essence of what we're dealing with here. I think our biggest challenge is to "out" the systematic lying. We need to make public all the we can find of the campaigns to discredit Dems and liberals--wherever they occur. Just like the Jan 6 Committee is systematicaly dismanteling the coup plot, we need a lot of pro bono lawyers willing to sue the slanderers even if the people they attack are too poor to pay for a law suit.

We must find some way to show the public evidence that members of the far-right manufacture lies solely to create fear so they can control them.

But we also need to address their concerns. How do we convince them that allowing kids to be themselves isn't grooming them? How do we prove we're not pedophiles?

It's hard to prove a negative--especially when the accusations are so readily accepted.

They want conformity--that's what they value. How do we get them to understand that some of us value being unique and different without reinforcing the idea that we are all advocating sex changes and homosexuality? How do we change their thinking?
