How do we make a law against electing a sociopath? Even with perfectly written laws, men who misinterpret intentionally will find a way around them.

I don't disagree with anything you are saying, but the real problem, IMO, isn't how that particular law is written (though we definitely need to codify some of the norms Trump violated so they are laws not just customs) but that won't fix the current trend toward deliberate and willful ignorance facing our country.

I think we need laws defining free speech better. We need to spell out that free speech isn't deliberate lies told by people who know they are lies. It's opinions--which can't be either proven or unproven by facts.

If we can fix that problem, I think we'll be fixing a lot of other problems as well.
