I believe it! I did it from 26 - 45 and was happy. I did meet someone at 45 and we've been LAT (Living alone, together) ever since.

He takes me to get my colonoscopy :-) And if he didn't, my best friend would. And I NEVER felt like what other people thought about any of it mattered one bit.

You do not need to justify your choices to anyone. You can stop punishing yourself.

And you should have let a friend give you a ride to something like that. Wanting to live alone doesn't mean you need to punish yourself by being alone when you need someone. We all need others sometimes--just not all day, every day.

Take care. Be good to yourself. Stop judging yourself by other people's standards. And let your friends be there for you when you need it. That's what they are for.
