I believe memorizing information is not the same as knowledge. Einstein said he never bothered to memorize anything he could look up.
What is meaningful is an understanding of the information we learn, and how to apply it practically to life.
I suspect at 70 you are also bit more advanced in that than the average 30 year-old. As am I, at 62.
But youth is naturally somewhat narcissistic and tends to make us feel immortal when we all know, logically, we are not.
Wisdom comes as much from understanding ourselves as from learning facts. Maybe more so. Perhaps if you demonstrated less book knowledge and more life lessons your words would resonate with both young and old.
