I like how you explain your agreements with your partner. We need to focus on that more as a society. Media gives people the idea that relationships just automatically work if you're meant for each other. I think if you're meant for each other it just means you might be able to the do work you need to do anyway, while in an intimate relationship with a partner--if they're willing to do their work too.

It's not as glamorous as love at first sight, or happily ever after, but it's real.
