I must respectfully disagree on this point. For the first time in my life, there is a definite difference between Dems and Republicans--and it's unrelatd to policy--it's cultural.
Dems aren't lying to themselves or making stuff up. Republicans are. They've devolved as a result of Trump, and it's ugly. There is a false equivalency that disguises itself as "fairness," but it's not fair because it's not true.
Many Democrats are informed and follow facts, not rhetoric and cult leaders. The people running the Republican Party today have lost their way. There is no truth, only Trump. The ideological differences between the parties have never been starker. And while Republicans may not be able to articulate that difference, I can tell you with absolute certainty that Democrats can.
