I think bars are probably the worst place to meet men. You're smart to stick with friends in that environment. In the old days (!) we went outside and did stuff with friends. When they invited other friends, and some were guys, we'd meet people and talk to them without worrying about whether it would end up being a date later.

There are good men out there, but they aren't hanging out in bars. I don't envy young people today.
