I think SCOTUS has a similar issue--particularly Thomas, Kavanaugh and Alito. Do they really not get that we all heard/saw their behavior and know what they are really like? Do they think because Thomas says he prefers Wal-Mart parking lots to fancy hotels, Kavanaugh says he doesn't recall Blasey Ford and Alito never leaked the abortion decision that the rest of us are too blind or too slow to know better when evidence is everywhere?

Perhaps it's an age thing.

Trump does seem oblivious to the record he's leaving every time he opens his foul mouth--perhaps he just can't get his head around the fact that once you say it, it's on the record forever. For someone who is supposed to be smart, he sure acts like a moron.
