I think this is a really important point. Culturally, we've given men far too much leeway to do what they want, while women have always been trained to work hard and be responsible

Mothers who misguidedly believe doing everything for their sons while insisting their daughters learn to cook, clean and help around the house while the boys sit on their asses is at least part of this recent phenomenon, IMO.

Mothers who won't discipline their male children for fear of having their affection withheld is a serious problem as well.

Men have historically expected women to take care of their needs. They have not been raised to be equal partners. And now that they have to compete with us in the workforce, too many are showing us that they don't have what it takes.

The price of freedom, as they say, is responsibility. These men want something for nothing. They used to get that. But times have changed.
