I was born into the LDS faith. I was rescued from it by a divorce when I was seven years old.

My mother gave me your book Under the Banner of Heaven just before my 46th birthday. The next day I met my life partner, Patrick. We were at a party when I overhead him telling someone that he'd just read a fantastic, if terrifying, book by the same name.

Seventeen years later, we are still together and watching the series on Hulu.
