If we were dealing with anybody but Putin, I would agree. Putin will not hesitate to use chemical or biological weapons and level Ukraine--for spite, if nothing else.

I agree that Ukraine has a chance to survive if legal weapons and ground warfare are all that are implemented, but I don't think we can realistically trust that Putin will stop there.

If he decides to drop more cluster bombs, vacuum bombs and then resorts to other illegal weapons--Ukraine will be leveled and nothing but rubble will be left. This is my prediction, sadly.
