JD Vance Is a Hypocrite
I didn’t know he was also a moron
JD Vance was caught on tape saying women who leave violent marriages do so at the expense of their children. I’ve got news for him: my father was violent. The happiest day of my 6-year-old life was the day he left.
No one who has experienced domestic violence could say what JD Vance said. But more to the point, nobody who has ever tried to understand domestic violence could say what JD Vance said. Vance also implied that the divorce rate among female victims of domestic violence was due to their desire to “change husbands like they change underwear.”
I have two words for JD Vance: Fuck you.
I knew he was a hypocrite when he wrote Hillbilly Elegy, in which he criticized his upbringing and the culture of his hometown. Then he did a complete 180 when he decided to run for office, preaching the same backward nonsense he was critical of in his book. But I find it appalling that he is willing to blame victims of domestic violence while pretending children prefer watching their father beat the shit out of their mother rather than live with a single parent.
