Most of this is now out in the open--Unfortunately, most Americans don't read history.
I believe (I could be wrong, of course) that what makes Ukraine a bit different than these other countries is the fact that we now have real-time reporting to inform us, and it's no longer only people working for liberal left-wing media who know the real story.
When we invaded Iraq under false pretenses, I worked for a radio station in Berkeley, CA. I interviewed former weapons inspector, Scott Ritter, and he said Saddam Hussein was NO threat to us--but nobody wanted to hear it. All Americans wanted to do was rally the troops after 9/11.
Today we have some members of Congress (Sheldon Whitehouse, for example) who have railed against dark money and capitalist interventions--we just need more of them.
