One of my biggest issues with the Democrats is their seemingly blind reliance on consultants and pundits to plot their moves.

I think they need to stop plotting and do just three basic things:

1) Tell the truth as they know it.

2) Tell us their priorities for problem-solving, once in office.

3) Make a committment to "do the right thing," all the time--especially when it's inconvenient or expensive.

If they need personal coaching on how to present their ideas they can go to Toastmasters like everybody else.

Politics should not be a manipulation game. We need to know who they are, what they stand for, and what they will do for us. If they bury that in smoke and mirrors we can't figure that out.
