Really excellent article. You've hit on all the mistakes and correction my partner and I have had to make over the past 15 years.

We do screw up (me a lot more than him) but we work at it and we love each other more now ever.

Paying attention to each other can be really hard when our own stuff feels all-consuming. But it makes such an enormous difference.

And while on one level I think I know all this, I also know I do need to be reminded to act on this knowledge.
