Thank you for this! My partner of 15 years has described women I'd call "average" as beautiful. When I was younger that might have bothered me, But now that I am older, I love that he appreciates women who aren't perfect, because I am far from perfect myself.

What I most appreciate about this piece is that it reinforces the fact that when men look at women it has absolutely nothing to do with how they feel about their partners.

And when a man goes out of his way to do it covertly, when he's with another woman, it demonstrates respect for her. I think women should be appreciative of that effort rather than blaming him for having the impulse in first place.
