The older people were brainwashed by FOX--they don't rely on the internet for news, and they believed FOX was a credible news organization because they have "news" as part of their name.

All MAGA people are not the same.

Even if only a subset of those who believed the lies FOX told were faced with the same people who lied, telling them they lied and apologizing for it, it would be a game changer.

It would also mean FOX hosts would lose their credibility in the eyes of many viewers.

We'll never reach the ones who rely on internet news, but there was a chance to reach those who rely on FOX and unless the upcoming defamation cases include public apologies by FOX, we may never reach them. So in that regard, I consider this a wasted opportunity.
