But it is also extremely upsetting to read that some male atheists are using their perceived powers as leaders to continue to abuse women, denigrate people of color and harrass transgender and gay people.

Do we need to be a group? Can't we just exist as individuals who follow our own path and live and let live?

Seems like every time we form groups somebody feels the need to take the lead and eventually that becomes a position of power. I'm so sick of it. It's one of the reasons I'm not religious. I guess I'm also not a groupie. Thank God! (Pun intended).
