Watch a little TV and then tell me we are not racist, sexist, impressed by wealth vs wisdom. It's everywhere. If you can't see it, perhaps you aren't looking closely enough.

When a black person is treated differently solely because of their skin color, that's racism. When a man treats a woman differently solely because of her gender, that's sexism.

It's also sexism when a man puts a woman on a pedestal and fails to see her as fully human. These distinctions can help people see where they err in their own thinking. But having an open mind is necessary for any of this to make sense. Perhaps that's why it doesn't make sense to you.
