You make some excellent points. But I think we also need to remember why dark money is even a thing: Citizens United.

If we could overturn that one ruling, and make it illegal for anyone but individuals to contribute campaign funds, we would go a long way toward ending this madness.

As it is, if Republicans take it, Dems will too. It's not an excuse, just a fact.
